We can think of nothing better than creating original and seasonal craft beers for people who love trying new things. My Basic Style is Borderland Avant-garde, infusing the flavors of the region, creating beautiful styles of Indigenous beer. We are not defined by one style or niche and do not always adhere to traditional brewing styles or practices. The Hallmark of Sun Brewing is creativity and Imagination for our original brews.
We started our journey back in the garage of my house. Our first batch of beer was nothing great. Through a lot of hard work and passion we continuously make process improvements to create original brews from our environment for a flavorful regional beer. There is a lot of love that goes into brewing the way Sun Brewing creates beer; everything from our cool ships for my Spontaneous Ale Projects or my Ice Lagers to my Borderland Avant-garde beers.
For me, there is nothing more intimate than crafting something home made from someone's hands to another's.

My father is a retired military officer, which allowed me to travel a lot moving every two years or less growing up. This was a great life’s experience because I was able to see many different cultures and meet lifelong friends from different places and to see the different cuisines and drinks.
I followed in my father’s footsteps and I’m a former Marine who joined right after 911. Oorah Marines! I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Middle Tennessee State University and I’m currently a Software Engineer.
If I was ever from a place then it would be El Paso, all things considering... even though I've lived in a lot of places in my life and every place I've lived has a special place in my heart, I'm an El Pasoan, I went to Morehead Middle School, Coronado HS, UTEP and I've lived here for almost a decade since I got out of the Marines. I've made El Paso my home.
I started Sun Brewing while having a day job but I’m going to start a business doing something that I love ! I'm just a home brewer brewing Good Beer and cooking my comfort food. .
I've also shared my personal life's journey with my cookbook sharing the stories of my beer and food. It's not just a book of recipes, it's also how it all came to be.

My background is in the IT field and Software Engineering and the Agile Manifesto structure and concepts has had a profound impact on me. The Manifesto for Sun Brewing was inspired by the Agile Manifesto.

We are currently building a new brewery with brand new stainless steel brewing equipment and an automated canning line.
We will also have custom coolships for my Spontaneous Ale Project. in another brewery at the same location.. We are also building a loft for a beautiful scenic view of the borderlands.
I'm open at both locations however at my new location I'm only open in a limited capacity for brewery tours and events until construction complete.
